Karl Landsteiner a doctor who invented the blood group system. He was an Austrian biologist and physician and immunologist. In 1900 he invented the blood group system. He is the first guy who discover the classification of blood. He also invented the polio virus in 1909. He got Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology in 1930 and before that he also got Aroson prize at 1926. After his death he was awarded Lasker award in 1946.

Karl Landsteiner converted from Judaism to Roman Catholicism in 1890. In 1916 he married Leopoldine Helene Wlasto, a Greek Orthodox who converted to her husband's Roman Catholic faith. In 1937 Landsteiner took legal action against an American publisher who had included him in the book Who's Who in American Jewry, stating that "it will be detrimental to me to emphasize publicly the religion of my ancestors.
