Shraddha Kapoor is an Indian actress, designer, singer and lyricist. She mainly works in Bollywood movies. She already won the several awards including Filmfare award, Stardust Awards, BIG Star Entertainment Awards for her acting performance. She established herself as a leading actress in Bollywood cinema.

Shraddha Kapoor was born on 3 March 1987 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India to actor Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kolhapure Kapoor. She was raised in a mixed ethnic family, from father side she is a Punjabi decent and Marathi ancestry from mother side. She has a elder brother named Siddhanth Kapoor, who is an actor and director. She started her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School and then she shifted at the American School of Bombay, where she was schoolmate with actress Athiya Shetty and actor Tiger Shroff. She enrolled at the Boston University to major in psychology, but left the university to cast in debut movie.

Shraddha Kapoor made her acting debut in 2010 with the drama Teen Patti alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Ben Kingsley and R. Madhavan. The film received generally negative reviews though her performance was better received. Following the year, she signed for the movie Lun Ka The End where she played a role as a teenage student and the movie received mixed reviews from the critics. In 2013, she acted in the blockbuster romantic musical drama Aashiqui 2, the sequel to the 1990 film Aashiqui. The film was a major box office success with global revenue of $17 million and Shraddha received the Filmfare Best Actress Award for her terrific performance. Then she acted in the several commercial successful films including romantic thriller movie Ek Villain (2014), 3D dance movie ABCD 2 (2015) and musical drama film Rock On 2 (2016).

In addition to acting, Shraddha Kapoor has sung several of her film songs. She is the celebrity endorser for several brands and products. In 2015, she launched her own line of clothing. She participates in stage shows and concerts.
