Jessica Marie Alba is an American actress and businesswoman. She showed her magnificent performance in the James Cameron television series Dark Angel (2000–2002). She has won various awards, including the Choice Actress Teen Choice Award and Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television, and a Golden Globe nomination for her lead role in the television series Dark Angel.

Jessica Alba was born on April 28, 1981 in Pomona, California, United States to Mark Alba, who served in the US Air Force and Catherine Jensen. She has a younger brother named Joshua Alba. Due to her father’s job, the family lived in various cities including Biloxi, Mississippi, and Del Rio, Texas, before finally settling in Claremont, California. She attended Claremont High School, graduating from the same at age 16. She then studied at the Atlantic Theatre Company with founders William H. Macy and David Mamet.

Jessica Alba made her film debut in 1994 with the movie Camp Nowhere. In this film, she played a small role as Gail. The same year, she made her television debut in the Nickelodeon comedy series ‘The Secret World of Alex Mack’. In 1995, she acted in the movie Venus Rising as Young Eve.
