Priyanka Sarkar is an Indian film and television actress who predominantly appears in the Bengali films. She was born on 31 December 1990 in Kolkata, India. Her father is a commerce teacher. She has a younger sister. She completed her Higher Secondary Examination from Orient Day School in Kolkata. She was so much passionate about media arena from early childhood eventually turned her career into the field.

Priyanka Sarkar made her film debut in 2008 with the blockbuster movie Chirodini Tumi Je Amar. The film was directed by Raj Chakraborty and co-starred her husband Rahul Banerjee. In the movie, she got the positive acclamation from the critics and audience. Following the year, she appeared in the movie Risk with Rituparna Sengupta and Hiran Chatterjee.
