Chitrangada Singh Chahal is an Indian film actress and model, known for her works in Bollywood movies. She has won Bollywood Movie Award for Best Female Debut and Young Women Achiever Award by FICCI. She is a brand ambassador of different brands like Airtel, Parachute, Puma, Borges Olive Oil, Garnier, Aliva Crackers, Taj Mahal Tea and Joyalukkas Jewellers. She also endorses Tata Group's Tanishq, a jewellery brand of India and Titan Eye Plus.Chitrangada Singh was born on 30 August 1976 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India. Her father name is Col. Niranjan Singh Chahal who is an Indian Army officer. She has a brother named Digvijay Singh Chahal who is a golfer and a sister named Tina Singh Chahal. She completed her schooling from Sophia Girls' School in Meerut. After that she completed her graduation in Home Science (food and nutrition) from Lady Irwin College, New Delhi.
Chitrangada Singh began her career as a model and started modeling with brands like ICICI bank and Alukkas Jewellery among others. Then she performed in a music video. She made her film debut in 2003 with the movie Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, directed by Sudhir Mishra. The film also stars Kay Kay Menon, Shiney Ahuja, Saurabh Shukla and Ram Kapoor. Then she acted in the 2005 film Kal: Yesterday and Tomorrow. Three years later, she appeared in the romantic-comedy film Sorry Bhai! opposite Sanjay Suri.
Chitrangada Singh was married to golfer Jyoti Randhawa in 2001 but separated in 2013. They have a son named Zorawar.
