Ajay Devgan (Ajay Devgn) is an Indian film actor, director and producer. His born name is Vishal Veeru Devgan. He established himself as one of the most popular actors of Bollywood film industry. He has won numerous accolades, including two National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards. He was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2016.

Ajay Devgan was born on 2 April 1969 in New Delhi, India to Veeru Devgan and Veena Devgan. His father is a stunt choreographer and action film director and his mother is a film producer. He has a brother named Anil Devgan, who is a filmmaker and screenwriter. He studied in alumnus of the Silver Beach High School in Juhu and then studied at Mithibai College.

Ajay Devgan made his debut as a lead actor in the movie Phool Aur Kaante (1991) and received a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. In 1992, he starred in Bollywood martial arts action romantic film Jigar alongside Karisma Kapoor, which was seventh highest grossing movie of the year at boxoffice. He gave a critically acclaimed performance in the movie Deewangee in 2002, for which he received the Filmfare Best Villain Award. He made his directional debut with the movie U Me Aur Hum in 2008. He has acted many popular and commercial successful movies such as Yuva (2004), Omkara (2006), Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006), Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai (2010), Singham (2011), Bol Bachchan (2012), Drishyam (2015) and many more.

Ajay Devgan married to co-actress Kajol on 24 February 1999 in a traditional Maharashtrian ceremony at the Devgan home. The couple has a daughter, Nysa Devgan, was born on 20 April 2003 and a son, Yug Devgan, who was born on 13 September 2010.
