Ileana D'Cruz is an Indian film actress and model who predominantly works in Telugu and Bollywood movies. She was born on 1 November 1987 in Panaji, Goa, India to Ronaldo D'Cruz and Samira D'Cruz. Her father is a Christian and mother Samira was a Muslim before marriage. She has a brother, Rhys D'Cruz and two sisters, Farrah D'Cruz and Eileen D'Cruz. She has received BA degree from the University of Mumbai.

Ileana D'Cruz started her career with modeling and then works in some TV advertisements like Electrolux, Emami Talc and Fair and Lovely. She made her film debut in 2006 with the Telugu language romance film Devadasu, directed by Y. V. S. Chowdhary for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. The same year she acted in the Tamil language movie Kedi for first time. She made her Bollywood debut in 2012 with the movie Barfi!, directed by Anurag Basu for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. The film was critically and commercially successful and critical appreciation for Ileana.
