Sidharth Malhotra is an Indian film actor and model who appears in Hindi cinema. He was born on 16 January 1985 in Delhi, India to Sunil Malhotra and Rimma Malhotra. His father is a former captain in the Merchant Navy, and mother is a homemaker. He has a brother named Harshad Malhotra. He completed his schooling from Delhi's Don Bosco School and Birla Vidya Niketan in New Delhi. Then he studied at Shaheed Bhagat Singh College.Sidharth Malhotra started his career with modeling at the age of 18. Then he works as an assistant director to Karan Johar in the 2010 drama film My Name Is Khan. He made his acting debut in 2012 with the comedy-drama film Student of the Year, directed by Karan Johar, for which he received a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut nomination. The film also stars Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Rishi Kapoor. In 2014, he acted in the romantic comedy film Hasee Toh Phasee opposite Parineeti Chopra and Adah Sharma. The same year, he starred in the romantic thriller film Ek Villain which directed by Mohit Suri.
