Saif Ali Khan is an Indian film actor and producer who predominantly appear in Hindi cinema. His born name is Sajid Ali Khan. He is one of the top actors in Bollywood movies. He is the recipient of several accolades, including a National Film Award and six Filmfare Awards. He was honored with the Padma Shri in 2010 by the Government of India.

Saif Ali Khan born on 16 August 1970 in New Delhi, India to Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi and Sharmila Tagore. His father was a former captain of the Indian national cricket team and mother is a film actress. He is of Pathan descent on his father's side and of Bengali descent on his mother's side. Saif attended at The Lawrence School, Sanawar in Himachal Pradesh and then Lockers Park School in Hertfordshire. Later, he studied at Winchester College.

Saif Ali Khan made his acting debut in 1993 with the drama film Parampara, directed by Yash Chopra. Then he acted in the movie Aashiq Awara opposite Mamta Kulkarni and Shilpa Shirodkar. The film was box office flop but he earned the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his performance in this film. Later he appeared in another flop movie Pehchaan (1993). His first successful film was Imtihaan (1994). In 2004, Saif appeared in the romantic comedy film Hum Tum, for which he won National Film Award for Best Actor.
In addition to film acting, he is a frequent television presenter and a stage show performer. He is the owner of the production company Illuminati Films.

Saif Ali Khan was married to actress Amrita Singh in October 1991. The couple has a daughter named Sara Ali Khan (born in 1993) and a son named Ibrahim Ali Khan (born on 2001). They were separated in 2004. After a five-year courtship, he married to actress Kareena Kapoor on 16 October 2012 in a private ceremony in Bandra, Mumbai. They have a son named Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi who born on 20 December 2016.
